DESCRIPTION:Phillip Island race track is one of the most famous and exciting race tracks in motorsport.  It is located on Bass Straight\, off the coast of Victoria in Australia and has a long tradition in motorcycle racing.  The WorldSBK™ first raced at this track in 1990 and the first MotoGP™ event was held in 1989. \n  \nMotorcycle racing in Australia \nAustralia has a rich tradition in motorcycle racing and has produced many well-known motorcycle racers\, including Wayne Gardner\, Mick Doohan\, Troy Bayliss\, Troy Corser and Casey Stoner.  These racers are a testament to the fascination and passion that motorcycle racing brings to Australia. \n  \nKey data of the track \nThe race track on Phillip Island is 4.445 kilometers long and has a total of 12 turns\, 5 of which are right-hand turns and 7 left-hand turns.
