DESCRIPTION:If you have a passion for motorcycles and want to support a good cause at the same time\, the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is the event for you.  This annual event takes place around the world and brings together motorcyclists who ride in classic and vintage style. \nThe Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was founded in Sydney\, Australia\, by Mark Hawwa.  He was inspired by a photo of Don Draper from the TV series Mad Men\, sitting on his 1957 Matchless G3LS in his best suit.  Mark wanted to combat the negative stereotype of men on motorcycles while raising money for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health. \nProstate cancer is the second most common cancer in men.  Funds raised at the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride will go to Movember\, the world’s largest men’s health organization.  Movember invests in prostate cancer research and prevention\, as well as programs that support men’s mental health. \n  \nSuicide prevention and men’s mental health. \nUnfortunately\, suicide is a major problem among men.  According to statistics\, three out of four people who commit suicide worldwide are men.  That’s half a million every year.  We need to improve men’s mental health to solve this problem. \nMovember and the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride are committed to helping men talk about their health and seek help when they need it.  Donations raised at the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride will fund innovative projects to support men’s mental health. \n  \nIn summary \nIf you’re a motorcycle enthusiast who wants to get involved in men’s health\, you should participate in the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride.  Every year in May (early September)\, thousands of men come together in their classic and vintage motorcycle outfits for a ride to raise funds for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health. \nThe ride is open to all\, regardless of gender or type of motorcycle.  Whether it’s a café racer\, bobber\, classic\, tracker\, scrambler\, old school chopper\, modern classic\, sidecar\, classic scooter or brat style – it’s all about having fun riding a motorcycle and supporting a good cause. \n  \nIf you want to participate in the event\, register and fundraise early.  Every donation counts and helps improve men’s health worldwide. \nOverall\, the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is a great way to combine your passion for motorcycles with a good cause.  You can be a part of a worldwide movement to improve men’s health and have a ton of fun in the process.  So\, grab your bike and join in the fun!These and other events can also be easily accessed via the MOTORCYCLES.NEWS APP – including navigation option)
