SUMMARY:Elefantentreffen
DESCRIPTION:The 68th BVDM Elefantentreffen will once again take place in the Bavarian Forest and remains one of the most distinctive winter gatherings for motorcyclists.  At the end of January\, the Hexenkessel of Loh near Thurmansbang will again become a meeting point for riders who deliberately accept snow\, cold\, and true winter conditions. \nMotorcyclists have been welcome in this region for more than 35 years.  In 2015\, the BVDM introduced its Seven-Point Plan to secure the long-term future of the event and to preserve its original spirit.  This approach will be consistently continued in 2026.  After increasing unrest in recent years\, the existing rules will be significantly tightened in order to ensure a peaceful and respectful atmosphere for everyone involved. \nThe Elefantentreffen is not a lawless area.  Traffic regulations apply at all times on access roads and throughout the event site.  Riding motorcycles is permitted only for arrival and departure.  Night-time quiet hours must be strictly observed.  The aim is to refocus the event on the shared winter experience\, camping in the snow\, and meeting like-minded riders. \nParticipation requires full acceptance of all rules.  Violations will not be tolerated and may result in immediate expulsion from the site.  These measures are necessary to ensure that the Elefantentreffen can continue to take place in the Bavarian Forest in the future. \n\nKey Facts – Elefantentreffen 2026\n\nLocation: Hexenkessel of Loh near Thurmansbang\, Bavarian Forest (north of Passau)\nDate: Thursday\, 29 January to Sunday\, 1 February 2026\nSite opens: Monday\, 26 January 2026\, from 10:00 am\nEvent type: Motorcycle-only winter meeting\nSchedule: Individual arrival\, winter camping\, stay on the event site\nImportant rules (excerpt):\n\nCamp setup only allowed after official site opening\nGerman road traffic regulations apply on access roads and site\, max. 7 km/h\, helmet required\nNo alcohol for riders\nRiding on site only for arrival and departure\nQuiet hours from 00:00 to 07:00\, no engines or chainsaws\nNo unnecessary revving or backfiring\nFireworks strictly prohibited\n\n\nAdmission:\n\n40 € regular\n30 € for BVDM and FEMA members\n\n\nTickets: available only at the event gate on site

SUMMARY:MotoGP - Thailand Grand Prix
DESCRIPTION:MotoGP in Thailand – Race in Buriram\nAt the end of February\, MotoGP travels to Thailand. The event takes place at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram\, around 410 kilometers northeast of Bangkok. \nThe modern circuit was designed by German architect Hermann Tilke and opened in 2014. The typically hot and humid Southeast Asian climate regularly creates demanding conditions for both riders and machinery. \nThe track measures 4.55 kilometers and features twelve corners. Its 1\,000-meter straight provides good overtaking opportunities. The spacious grandstands can accommodate up to 100\,000 spectators and offer wide views across several sections of the circuit. Besides MotoGP\, the venue is also known from the Superbike World Championship\, which first raced here in 2015. \nAll three classes compete during the race weekend.
