From September 8 to 13, 2026, the southern shores of Lake Faak in Carinthia will once again become the epicenter of Europe’s motorcycle scene. The 28th edition of European Bike Week draws over 100,000 bikers from across the continent to this picturesque lake in the tri-border region of Austria, Italy, and Slovenia. What began in 1998 as a regional Harley-Davidson gathering has grown into the largest motorcycle event in Europe \u2013 and admission remains completely free.<\/p>\n
The heart of European Bike Week is the Harley Village surrounding the lakeside farmers’ market area. Numerous European Harley-Davidson authorized dealers showcase the current model ranges spanning Sport, Cruiser, Grand American Touring, and Adventure Touring segments. The H-D Expo presents the latest 2026 motorcycles, apparel, and accessories. Those keen to experience the machines firsthand can take free demo rides on Carinthia’s legendary mountain passes. Five evenings of live music at the Saloon Bar and Harley Bar keep the party going throughout the week. On Friday, September 11, the traditional Custom Bike Show takes over the old town of Villach \u2013 about a 20-minute ride from Lake Faak \u2013 where handcrafted builds compete for top honors across six categories. Saturday’s highlight is once again the legendary Harley Parade, Europe’s largest motorcycle procession, departing from the Rosentaler Stra\u00dfe roundabout.<\/p>\n
Beyond the Harley-Davidson activities, the region surrounding Lake Faak and Villach offers an attractive supporting program. The Carinthian Corner and Arneitz Village at the lakeside feature regional cuisine, artisan crafts, and biker merchandise.
