Last year, Coward achieved a personal best with his KTS Racing Triumph Street Triple 765.\u00a0 With an average lap time of 128.668 mph, he became the fifth-fastest Supersport rider and finished fourth in the second race.\u00a0 This performance caught the attention of the Macadam Triumph Factory Racing Team, which is now merging with Coward and KTS Racing.\u00a0 Under the new name KTS Macadam Triumph<\/a> Factory Racing, the team will contest the two Monster Energy Supersport TT races in 2025.<\/p>\n

Comments on the partnership<\/h3>\n

Jamie Coward is delighted: \u201cI am absolutely overwhelmed by the partnership with Triumph and can hardly believe it.\u00a0 When I started my career, factory support was a dream and now I’m sitting here as a factory-supported rider.\u00a0 Our goal is to be even faster than last year and with Triumph’s support we are a big step closer to that goal.\u00a0 I’m really looking forward to the coming season.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Kevin Watret, team owner of KTS Racing, said: \u201cWe are delighted to continue our partnership with Jamie after achieving excellent results in recent years.\u00a0 At the same time, we are proud to now be the official Triumph team in road racing<\/a>.\u00a0 We’ve been working towards an opportunity like this since our formation in 2019 and it’s great to see our efforts rewarded.\u00a0 With the Triumph Street Triple 765, which showed its potential last year, and the factory support, we are expecting a strong season.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Triumph is also positive about the collaboration.\u00a0 Steve Sargent, Chief Product Officer at Triumph Motorcycles, said: \u201cThe KTS team brings a wealth of road racing experience to the table, while the Macadam team has done an excellent job of developing the Street Triple 765 in the British Supersport series.\u00a0 This partnership complements each other perfectly.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Switch to BMW in the 1000cc class<\/h3>\n

Away from the Supersport class, the team will switch to BMW motorcycles for the RST Superbike, Milwaukee Senior and RL360\/PE Superstock races.\u00a0 After two years on the Honda Fireblade, which helped Coward to three top six finishes in 2023, the rider will now compete on a BMW M 1000 RR – a model that has claimed nine 1000cc race wins in the last ten years.<\/p>\n

Coward explained the switch as follows: \u201cWe looked carefully at the options and decided on BMW as it is the best choice for the TT.\u00a0 The speed, especially the speed trap figures, speak for themselves.\u00a0 The BMW also suits taller riders better and our team was able to secure a former race bike from Josh Brookes.\u00a0 I’m looking forward to testing it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Kevin Watret added: \u201cWe are convinced that more is possible in the 1000cc class, which is why we switched to BMW.\u00a0 The results show that BMW is consistently at the top, both in terms of race wins and lap times.\u00a0 Jamie has already managed 132.6 mph and we are confident that he can continue to improve to get closer to the top riders.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Additional entries in the Supertwin class<\/h3>\n

In addition to the Supersport and Superbike races, the team is also planning to take part in the two Metzeler\/Entire Cover Insurance Supertwin races.\u00a0 Coward has already achieved podium finishes here in the past – he finished second in 2019 and third in 2023.<\/p>\n

Future prospects<\/h3>\n

With his previous record and his continuous development, the 34-year-old is one of the most promising candidates for podium finishes in several categories at the TT 2025.<\/p>\n
