Two teams, different focuses<\/h3>\n

Harley-Davidson fielded two teams in Oschersleben, each highlighting their own areas of expertise in the brand’s technology and racing capabilities.<\/p>\n

Team 131 competed in the Endurance class with a Harley-Davidson Performance Bagger specially built for the competition. This motorcycle was developed in collaboration with Wilbers Products. Riders David Datzer and Andreas Sch\u00e4fer were in second place for a long time before a hairline crack in the custom-made fuel tank after 134 laps led to a premature, strategically motivated withdrawal. Team boss Andr\u00e9 J\u00e4ger rated the bike’s performance as a successful stress test<\/a> under demanding conditions.<\/p>\n

Team 121 competed in the Superbike class and completed the full six-hour distance. Here, Thilo G\u00fcnther rode a near-stock Harley-Davidson<\/a> Pan America 1250 ST. Chris Lietsch rode a Hooligan bike specially prepared for the race by Harley-Davidson Germany, named \u201cPlan B.\u201d The team finished ninth in the class, proving the reliability and performance of the Pan America 1250.<\/p>\n

Use of synthetic fuels as a step towards sustainability<\/h3>\n

A special aspect was the use of synthetic e-fuels from Nordoel. This enabled both Harley-Davidson teams to complete a 95 percent CO\u2082-neutral race without any engine modifications. This is considered an important step towards sustainable motorsports and underscores the company’s environmental awareness. Other partners included Wilbers Products, Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde, Metzeler, and Don Performance.<\/p>\n
