The price starts at €186,200, which is equivalent to approximately $201,100.
Revised design with a focus on craftsmanship
The new Série 3 retains the appearance of the previous Type 1, but places greater emphasis on modern details. The rear frame section, milled from solid metal, remains unchanged and features a single seat as standard. A two-seater version will be available on request.
The headlights and turn signals at the front have been redesigned. In addition, there are hand-painted lines on the monocoque-style frame. The milled aluminum plates have modified surfaces that create different contrasts between the material and the light. The machine remains an object that relies heavily on handcrafted production.
Aluminum monocoque
A key feature of the Type 1 Série 3 is the aluminum monocoque, which is made from a single block. It combines the frame, fairing, and tank in a single component. According to the manufacturer, it takes many hundreds of hours to produce. Every line and every transition is crafted by hand.
The solid aluminum seat shell, known internally as the “Tapecul,” also remains part of the concept.
Technology developed in-house
The machine continues to be powered by Midual’s own two-cylinder boxer engine with a displacement of 1,036 cubic centimeters. It is tilted forward by 25 degrees and is said to offer a refined character. Midual does not provide specific performance data.
Production remains entirely in Juigné-sur-Loire, France. All aluminum parts, the monocoque, and the engine are handmade there. Before delivery, each machine is tested for around 300 kilometers.
Limited edition and price
The Type 1 Série 3 is limited to 20 units. The starting price is €186,200, or approximately $201,100. The final price will vary depending on the desired customization.
