Kawasaki is recalling several new models in the U.S. because an improperly installed oil pressure valve could cause the engine to stall.
It is possible that the oil pressure valve could come loose while riding, resulting in a loss of oil pressure. As a result, the engine could suddenly stall, in the worst case, this could lead to a fall.
Affected models include the 2021 Ninja H2 SX SE+, 2020 Ninja H2 and Ninja H2 Carbon, 2021 Ninja ZX-10R ABS and KRT Edition, 2021 Ninja ZX-10R and KRT Edition, 2021 Ninja ZX-10RR, 2020 and 2021 Z H2, and 2021 Z H2 SE.
The affected models were manufactured between March 26, 2020 and March 05, 2021. In the U.S., 1,523 motorcycles are affected. Whether other markets are also affected by the recall is currently unclear. However, since motorcycles are usually manufactured in a plant for the global market, this cannot currently be ruled out by the editorial team.
