Before Indian launched the FTR 1200, Indian fans only had the option of converting a Scout when it came to using an Indian for flat track. Roland Sands Design developed a model-specific track kit for the Scout and now offers it for street use.
It’s a plug-and-play kit for the Indian Scout or Indian Scout Sixty that now takes into account a taillight and turn signals. The California-based company is pricing the set at $1,300. The kit also includes a new aluminum subframe, fiberglass tail section and padded racing seat. The modified struts are not included. Just a bracket to relocate the shocks. However, Roland Sands Designs offers optional shocks and more to make the Scout fit for flat track.
