Kawasaki gives its mid-range crossover bike, the Versys 650, a model update. The engine, however, remains untouched.
The performance data of the 649 cc two-cylinder naturally remain unchanged at 67 PS and 61 Nm. However, an A2 variant with 48 PS and 53 Nm is also available.
Modified fairing for better weather protection
The Versys 650 2022 was given a new windshield, which can be adjusted in height 4 times. In total, it offers an adjustment range of 80 mm. Under the windshield attachment is a new additional fairing. The two components are intended to provide better wind and weather protection for the rider.
The LED headlight with symmetrical shape is also new. Turn signals and the taillight also use LED technology. Smoked glass has also been used for the taillight, which allows it to be optimally integrated into the rear and, when deactivated, already visually merges with it.
The graphics have also been changed. The new and colorful 4.3-inch TFT display offers expanded display modes and smartphone integration.
The Kawasaki Versys 650 2022 is equipped with 2-stage traction control, which can also be deactivated.
Optional original accessories
A 12V socket, a coverable USB charging socket or a heated grip can be ordered as options. Additional windshields, a pannier system with 28-liter side panniers and two top case variants are also available as original accessories. More visibility is provided by additional LED headlights, while the hand protectors offer a small safety bonus.
Three new color variants are offered:
- Candy Lime Green/Metallic Flat Spark Black/Metallic Spark Black.
- Metallic Spark Black/Metallic Flat Spark Black
- Metallic Phantom Silver/Metallic Flat Spark Black/Metallic Spark Black
The price has not been announced yet. For the previous model, it is around 8,300 euros plus ancillary costs.
