Deliveries of the Raptee.HV T30 have begun in India. The electric motorcycle with high-voltage architecture derived from the EV car world features CCS2 fast charging and a 5.4 kWh battery with an eight-year warranty.
  • First customer deliveries started in Chennai, Bengaluru to follow in April 2026
  • 29.5 hp and 70 Nm from an electric motor with high-voltage architecture
  • Priced from 2.39 lakh rupees (approximately €2,220 / $2,600)

After more than seven years of development, Indian startup Raptee.HV has begun customer deliveries of its T30 electric motorcycle. The first machines were handed over in Chennai, the home market of the company based in the southern Indian metropolis. This marks a decisive milestone for the T30 on its journey from prototype to regular production product.

High-Voltage Technology From the Electric Car World

The central technical feature of the Raptee.HV T30 is its so-called HV-Tec architecture, which according to the manufacturer is derived from the electric car sector. Unlike many electric two-wheelers on the Indian market that operate with low-voltage systems, the T30 uses a high-voltage concept. The electric motor produces 29.5 hp (22 kW) and delivers 70 Nm of torque. A battery pack with a capacity of 5.4 kWh serves as the energy storage.

A standout feature in the two-wheeler segment is compatibility with the CCS2 charging standard, which in India is primarily used for electric cars. This allows the T30 to charge at public fast-charging stations. Via DC fast charger, the battery is said to charge from 20 to 80 percent in 36 minutes. Using the included onboard charger at home, a full charge reportedly takes just over one hour.

Warranty and Service as Selling Points

The Raptee.HV T30 is offered at a price of 2.39 lakh rupees (approximately €2,220 / $2,600) ex-showroom. Included is an eight-year battery warranty, which the manufacturer describes as unique in the industry. Additionally, there is a three-year vehicle warranty. Raptee.HV also emphasizes a structured service concept: every customer receives a dedicated contact person and has access to a roadside assistance partner.

CEO and co-founder Dinesh Arjun spoke at the delivery launch about this product being the result of seven years of work. “With the commencement of large-scale customer deliveries, we’re excited to be sharing our product with a larger audience, a product that’s been seven years in the making.” He emphasized that the trust of the first customers forms the foundation for this moment and that Raptee.HV is not only delivery-ready but also service-ready.

Expansion Across Southern India and Beyond

Chennai is the first operational market for Raptee.HV, with delivery and customer service infrastructure already active. Bengaluru is set to follow in April 2026, where a dedicated showroom and an authorized service center are planned to open. By the end of the year, the company aims to be present in additional southern Indian state capitals and to expand into the western Indian market.

7,530 Kilometers Across India: Record in the Asia Book of Records

Even before the official delivery launch, the T30 had already made headlines. E-motorcycle rider Baala Manikandan, who already holds two previous records with electric motorcycles, completed a 7,530-kilometer all-India ride on the T30 in just 19 days. This matches the travel time typically required for a comparable distance on a combustion-engine motorcycle. It was the first ride of an electric motorcycle across all of India on this scale.

On average, Manikandan covered 407 kilometers per day, roughly 100 kilometers more than on his previous long-distance rides with electric motorcycles. At DC fast-charging stations, charging time was approximately 30 minutes; at AC charging points, about one hour to 80 percent. After the entire distance of over 7,500 kilometers with intensive use of fast-charging infrastructure, battery health reportedly remained at 100 percent according to the manufacturer. The achievement was officially recognized in both the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records.

Former Tesla Engineer and 156 Patents

Behind Raptee.HV is a startup founded in 2019 and headquartered in Chennai. Co-founder and CEO Dinesh Arjun previously worked as an engineer at Tesla. The company states that it developed all of the T30’s electronics entirely in-house and has filed 156 patents to date. The production facility in Chennai spans 4.5 acres (approximately 18,200 square meters) and is said to offer an annual capacity of 100,000 units. Financially, Raptee.HV has raised $5 million (approximately €4.2 million) in a pre-Series A round and is currently working on a $20 million (approximately €16.8 million) Series A funding round. For future production expansion, the company has secured an additional 40 acres at the SIPCOT Cheyyar industrial estate.

Positioning in the Indian Market

The T30 positions itself in the performance segment of India’s electric two-wheeler landscape. With its high-voltage approach and CCS2 compatibility, Raptee.HV is attempting to technically differentiate itself from the established competition, which predominantly relies on proprietary charging systems or slower charging standards. Whether this concept can succeed in India’s price-sensitive market remains to be seen. The aggressive expansion strategy for 2026 suggests the manufacturer wants to build reach quickly before larger competitors integrate similar technologies into their models.
