564 km had to be bridged from Al-´Ula to Ha´il, 354 km was the timed route. It got a bit sandy again and went over dune belts. The road book was only distributed to the participants shortly before the start.

Sam Sunderland fell heavily halfway and had to be taken to the medical center. He complained of pain in the shoulder and lumbar region.
Things went better for his team-mate Price, who won the day with a journey time of just under four hours. He was able to catch up in the overall standings and is now a good nine minutes behind Ricky Brabec.
