- Facelift for the Ducati Diavel V4 on the horizon
- New look inspired by the Diavel V4 RS
- Indications of revised semi-active suspension components
Following the introduction of the V4 generation and the recent expansion of the series with a particularly sporty RS version, there are many indications that Ducati is now also revising the regular Diavel V4. Initial images have now appeared in official EU design documents, showing a significantly modernized appearance and suggesting technical improvements in detail.

New look with familiar RS elements
The most striking changes are to the design. The new wheels with five split spokes are particularly eye-catching. They look sportier and more understated than the rims used previously and are more closely based on a classic performance look.
The side air intakes have also been redesigned. Their basic shape corresponds to that of the Ducati Diavel V4 RS, where the horizontal strut is now located below the center axis. On the RS model, these components are made of carbon fiber and consist of two parts. For the standard version of the Diavel V4, however, it can be assumed that plastic will be used. Different colors or surfaces are nevertheless intended to emphasize the two-part design and add visual accents.
Directly below these intakes are newly shaped radiator covers, also divided into two sections. Here, too, there are many indications that Ducati will work with materials and color contrasts to give the motorcycle more visual depth. On the right side of the vehicle, a new plastic cover also conceals cables and wires on the engine, creating a tidier overall impression.

Engine remains unchanged, exhaust system redesigned
Under the fairing, the familiar V4 engine remains. The Granturismo V4 without desmodromic valve control, as used in the current model, continues to be used. The more powerful Desmosedici Stradale V4 of the RS version remains reserved for this model.
The exhaust system, on the other hand, is new. Although the four tailpipes remain a central stylistic feature, their arrangement has been changed. Instead of four clearly separated outlets, they are now paired more closely together and visually more connected. This gives the rear a more compact and tidier appearance.
Indications of an updated semi-active suspension
Another interesting point concerns the suspension. Several images clearly show cable connections at the upper fork ends. These indicate a revised semi-active suspension. Details on the tuning or range of functions are not yet known, but it stands to reason that Ducati is planning a technical upgrade here.
New version or revised base model?
The question remains as to whether the motorcycle shown is a mere facelift of the previous Diavel V4 or an additional variant. A new equipment level between the base version and the RS version would be conceivable. Official confirmation is still pending.
However, given the design registrations that have already been published, an announcement is likely to be made soon. A market launch within the next few weeks does not seem out of the question.
What does this mean for me as a motorcyclist?
The indications of a revised Diavel V4 mean above all that Ducati is not fundamentally changing the existing concept, but rather refining it in a targeted manner. Visually, the motorcycle is likely to appear more modern and sporty without losing its characteristic appearance. Particularly relevant for everyday riding is the possible use of an advanced semi-active suspension setup, which is designed to better balance comfort and stability depending on the riding style. At the same time, the familiar Granturismo V4 will remain, which speaks for continuity in terms of smooth running and long-distance suitability. All in all, everything points to the Diavel V4 becoming more attractive to motorcyclists who are looking for a powerful, eye-catching bike without sacrificing modern technology and a tidy overall package.
