Alpinestars Spring 2026: New Collection Combines Motorcycle Protection with Everyday Wear

The Alpinestars Spring 2026 collection brings 185 products combining motorcycle protection with streetwear design. The new Tech-Air 5 Plasma airbag weighs just 1.53 kg.
  • The Contemporary Collection includes jackets, pants, gloves and shoes under the “MO.ST.EQ.” (Moto Streetwear Equipment) concept
  • The Tech-Air 5 Plasma weighs 1.53 kg, making it over 25 percent lighter than its predecessor
  • The spring collection comprises 185 products across the Racing/Sport, Adventure and Contemporary categories

With the new collection, Alpinestars specifically targets commuters and urban riders who don’t want to compromise on real motorcycle protection but also don’t want to be immediately recognizable as bikers off the bike. The Italian manufacturer relies on its new concept called “MO.ST.EQ.”, which stands for Moto Streetwear Equipment. The idea behind it: functional pocket layouts, fused materials, and motorcycle-grade construction in cuts that don’t look out of place away from the motorcycle.

Jackets for Every Purpose

At the heart of the Contemporary line are several jacket models. The Flight Air Jacket is available in four color variants and costs 239.95 euros (approximately 251 USD). It targets riders looking for an airy yet protective option in warm weather. It’s complemented by the Unite Jacket and the Stella Moshell Jacket, which was specifically designed for female riders. All three jackets can be combined with the new Mogress Airflow Gloves for a coordinated warm-weather setup.

The Contemporary Classic line draws on Alpinestars’ heritage. Jackets like the Dice (259.95 euros / approximately 272 USD), the Bruiser (239.95 euros / approximately 251 USD) and the Stella Grace combine workwear influences with subtle vintage details such as spiral patches and tonal branding. Beneath the surface, they’re equipped with Nucleon Flex Plus protectors and are compatible with the Tech-Air airbag system. Protection and style are therefore not mutually exclusive.

For riders who switch between city traffic and light off-road terrain, Alpinestars offers the Provoke Jacket and the Radium Tech Hoodies. These pieces blur the line between outdoor apparel and motorcycle gear, being wind-resistant, lightweight and slim-fitting.

Pants, Gloves and Shoes

The pants range mirrors the philosophy of the jackets. The Flex-AST Canvas Pants (199.95 euros / approximately 209 USD) and the Flex-AST 5 Denim Pants reinterpret classic motorcycle pants with stretch construction and inconspicuous knee and hip protectors. Those who prefer a more technical approach will find the Juggernaut V2, a pant with ergonomic knee design and adjustment options for a precise fit on the motorcycle.

The glove range spans from the breathable mesh models of the Ignite series to the leather Mustang v3 variants with laser perforations and Plasma knuckle protection. The Mogress Airflow Gloves are available in five color variants starting at 79.95 euros (approximately 84 USD). In the footwear category, four new models are being added, including the Ride-63 in leather and canvas versions, which combine retro sneaker aesthetics with integrated protective elements.

Tech-Air 5 Plasma: Alpinestars’ Lightest Airbag System

Alongside the clothing collection, Alpinestars has unveiled the Tech-Air 5 Plasma, which is now available in Europe and internationally following an initial market launch in the USA. Weighing 1.53 kg, it is, according to Alpinestars, over 25 percent lighter than its predecessor and thus the manufacturer’s lightest airbag system. The slim design is intended to allow the vest to be worn inconspicuously under most jackets.

The system operates with six sensors and AI-powered crash detection. Riders can choose between three riding modes: Offroad, Street and Track. Switching is done via a small LED display button on the vest and is designed to work even with gloves on. Via Bluetooth, the system can additionally be connected to a smartphone app that displays battery level, system status and route recording, among other things.

Activation is kept simple: zip up the vest, a magnetic flap closes, and the system is ready to go. LED indicators and haptic feedback show the operating status and active mode. The battery is said to last 30 hours, and one hour of charging via the USB-C port reportedly provides up to eight hours of protection.

Conveniently, riders can replace the gas inflator themselves up to six times after deployment, provided the airbag itself is undamaged and this is permitted in their country. The airbag can be quickly removed for washing the vest. A back protector made of flexible, breathable material is also integrated.

Certifications and Safety Standards

The Tech-Air 5 Plasma is CE-certified according to European regulations and meets British safety standards. The passive back protector is certified to EN1621-2 Level 1, and the inflatable airbag to EN 1621-4 Level 1. The vest itself is classified as Class C undergarment according to EN 17092-6.

Comprehensive Collection with 185 Products

In total, the Alpinestars Spring 2026 collection encompasses 185 products, divided into the Racing/Sport, Adventure and Contemporary categories. Beyond the Contemporary line presented here, the collection includes the GP Force V2 leather suit (999.95 euros / approximately 1,047 USD as one-piece and two-piece), the Supertech R10 Arius helmet (1,199.95 euros / approximately 1,256 USD), the Andes Pro Drystar XF adventure jacket (499.95 euros / approximately 524 USD) and various backpacks such as the AT-15 Back Pack (199.95 euros / approximately 209 USD). The material range extends from textile to leather to carbon, and many products are designed as year-round equipment.
