Since its inception, Fellows Ride has become a fixture in the motorcycle culture calendar. The initiative combines community motorcycle rides with a clear social purpose: to raise awareness of depression, reduce stigma, and collect donations for mental health projects.
Origin and motivation behind the initiative
The driving force behind Fellows Ride is closely linked to the personal history of its initiator. The loss of a close relative to severe depression highlighted how little visibility mental illness still has. The aim of the movement is to promote an environment in which mental health crises can be discussed openly. Fellows Ride does not see itself as a therapeutic service, but rather as a social signal for openness, acceptance, and timely medical help.
The central mission is to make depression understandable as a treatable illness and to encourage those affected to accept support. The more visible the topic becomes, the sooner inhibitions and taboos can be broken down.
Fellows Ride 2026: Broad presence and new goals
A total of 26 events are planned for 2026. In addition to proven locations, new regions will be added. The rides take place with official approval and are usually accompanied by police motorcycles and other emergency services. Participation is free of charge and open to all brands, with voluntary donations of at least €20 requested.

Season highlight: International premiere in the Himalayas
A special highlight is the first-ever motorcycle expedition in the Himalayas. In collaboration with Motor2Travel, the first Fellows Ride in India is being organized. The 14-day tour will take participants through northern India and will include crossing the Kardung La pass, which is around 5,359 meters high.
Part of the proceeds from this expedition will be donated to a local mental health project. The trip thus combines the charitable principle of Fellows Ride with an extraordinary motorcycling experience.
Participation, organization, and outlook
Fellows Ride will remain deliberately low-threshold in 2026. Each event is open to motorcyclists regardless of brand or vehicle type. The organizers point out that detailed information on routes, starting points, and donation purposes will be announced in good time.
With its expansion into new countries and a clear focus on destigmatizing mental illness, Fellows Ride is consolidating its claim to combine social engagement and motorcycle culture.
