MotoGP – Red Bull Ring Österreich

The Red Bull Ring in Spielberg is located in the beautiful region of Styria in Austria. The track was originally built in 1969 and was initially known as the Österreichring. In 1996 the track was rebuilt to the layout it still has today, and in 2011 it was reopened as the Red Bull Ring. Since then, the track has once again become the center of Austrian motorsports. The runway nestled in the landscape resembles a natural arena, the architectonics is unparalleled. The track itself is 4.318 kilometers long and has ten curves, with elevation changes of 65 meters. In the 2016 season, the Red Bull Ring will host a race for the MotoGP™ World Championship for the first time, and the motorcycle world championship will make its first guest appearance in Austria since 1997.
