WorldSBK – Motul Hungarian Round – 2026

WorldSBK Motul Hungarian Round – Round 4 at Balatonfőkajár
The Superbike World Championship returns to Hungary’s Balaton Park Circuit for the second time in May 2026. Following a hugely successful debut in 2025 that attracted over 42,000 spectators to the shores of Lake Balaton, the Hungarian round has firmly cemented its place on the WorldSBK calendar. As Round 4 of the 2026 season, the May 1–3 weekend features racing across all four classes: WorldSBK, WorldSSP, WorldSSP300/WorldSPB, and WorldWCR.
Circuit and Facilities
The Balaton Park Circuit ranks among Europe’s most modern racing venues. The 4.075-kilometre layout winds through 17 corners – ten left-handers and seven rights – across a track width of 12 to 15 metres. Built to the highest FIM safety standards, the circuit features Tecpro barriers throughout instead of conventional tyre walls. With 48 pit garages, spacious VIP areas, a media centre, and a medical facility, the venue offers professional-grade conditions for teams and fans alike. Permanent grandstand seating accommodates 10,000, with temporary structures expanding total capacity to approximately 120,000.
Lake Balaton as a Travel Destination
The circuit sits in Balatonfőkajár, right on the northern shore of Lake Balaton – Hungary’s most famous holiday region. At 79 kilometres long, the Balaton is Central Europe’s largest lake and a popular destination for motorcycle touring. Beyond the racing, the region offers the wine-growing hills around Badacsony, the historic Tihany Peninsula, and the thermal springs of Hévíz. Budapest lies roughly 100 kilometres away and is easily accessible via the M7 motorway.
