This Friday, after the Corona crisis, can finally start the 2020 MotoGP season. So far, only the Moto2 and Moto3 could drive a race (March in Qatar), the MotoGP was still in “hibernation”.
At the first training sessions on Friday in Jerez, MotoGP rider Fabio Quartararo (Petronas Yamaha SRT) and Moto3 rider Sergio Garcia (Estella Galicia 0.0) will start with a penalty. They are expected to spend the first 20 minutes of the first training in the box.
The reason for the punishment is a violation of the rules by the two driver, which they admitted, even if it is said to have been unintentional.
During a private test day with an R1 in Le Castellet in June, Quartararo used modifications that prohibited the MotoGP rules.
He has appealed the decision.
