A compact V2 in a classic naked bike has become rare in the medium and small displacement classes. This is exactly where the Moto Morini 3½ Sport comes in, with its manageable power level, simple technology, and timeless design aimed at riders looking for a lightweight machine for city and country riding.
Compact V2 for A2-compliant performance
At the heart of the motorcycle is a 350.3 cc V2 with eight valves, which is designed to meet the Euro5+ standard. Moto Morini specifies the engine power as 32.2 hp (23.7 kW) at 8500 rpm. The maximum torque is 22.1 lb.ft, which corresponds to 29.96 Nm, and is said to be available at 5500 rpm. This puts the new 3½ Sport in the same range as current retro competitors such as the BSA Bantam 350 and offers more power than models such as the Honda GB350S.
The power source is embedded in a simple steel frame, while an aluminum swing arm handles the rear wheel guidance. The design of the V2 is intended to allow for a narrow silhouette between the legs, thereby positively influencing handling.
Ergonomics, chassis, and proportions
With a stated seat height of 795 mm, the model is aimed at a wide range of riders. The 15.5-liter fuel tank sits in front of a flat seat designed to emphasize the retro lines. The manufacturer offers different handlebar configurations, from classic straight versions to moderately sporty options. In all cases, the footrests remain low, which is designed to promote a relaxed seating position.
The chassis consists of a 37 mm upside-down fork with 130 mm of travel and a rear monoshock that provides 120 mm of travel and is said to have adjustable spring preload. The 17-inch cast wheels are fitted with 110/70 tires at the front and 150/60 tires at the rear. Moto Morini quotes a total length of 2090 mm and a dry weight of 154 kg, which is equivalent to approximately 339.5 lbs.
Features and planned market launch
The new 3½ Sport is expected to be available from the first half of 2026 (depending on the region). LED lighting, a classic filler neck, and typical 3½ logos are to be included in the market-ready version. The manufacturer has announced the Legacy Red and Pure White color variants.
Although Moto Morini has primarily used mid-range models with parallel twins in recent years, the presentation at the trade fair in Milan suggests that the company will increasingly use its own engine architectures in the future. In addition to small trail models and large adventure bikes, a fully faired Corsaro Sport with a 749 cc V2 was also on display. This could indicate a broader model strategy.
