The participants of the TT 2019 and their starter numbers were announced.

For the second time in a row local hero Conor Cummins starts the race with 1. He drives for Milenco by Padgetts Motorcycles Honda. Number 2 is followed by Dean Harrison for Silicone Engineering Kawasaki.

Isle of Man TT Legend John McGuinness returns to Norton and with the favored # 3, with which he was extremely successful. Ian Hutchinson and Michael Dunlop also got their favorite bib numbers again. Hutchy the four and Michael the 6.

The Australian Bruce Anstey missed the TT because of a cancer diagnosis in 2018. At the Classic TT he drove a demo round. At the TT 2019, however, he will not go to the start. He continues to recover from his illness. His team Milenco by Padgetts Honda continues to see him as part of the team and hopes that Bruce will be present on the island.

New AI vehicle architecture aims to further develop electric motorcycles via software

In the future, electric motorcycles may no longer be developed solely through new motors or batteries, but primarily through software and artificial intelligence. An Indian manufacturer is introducing a new vehicle architecture for this purpose, which is intended to enable several types of motorcycles and e-scooters to be built on a common technical basis.
