After the announcement that Jack Miller would ride for Ducati in the MotoGP factory team in 2021, it was clear that one of the current regular drivers would leave the team.
As Danilo Petrucci has now announced himself, he will leave Ducati and his contract will not be extended. However, he would like to stay in MotoGP and claim at least one more win in the premier class. His only win so far is his 2019 home race in Mugello (Italy).
So far it is still open which to team he could go to. The most likely to be Aprilia, who are rumored to want to part with Andrea Iannone regardless of the doping ban.
