Equipped with this sensor the Insta 360 one R also records in 5.7K. If you “only” need a 4K image, there is the possibility to zoom into the image. Due to the larger sensor the images should be even better in low light conditions than with the 4K module.

360 degrees – always everything in the picture and many possibilities
It is especially easy with the 360 degree module. Here you don’t have to align the camera exactly, since it records everything around it anyway. You only have to pay attention that there is nothing in the immediate vicinity on the sides of the camera, because the cam cuts the two shots of the front and back camera digitally together. If something is too close to the cut line, it can lead to errors or things can be cut off.

Alignment not necessary
The camera does not need to be aligned horizontally in 360 degree mode either, because it automatically aligns the image accordingly (if you want). Theoretically you only have to fix the cam in any position and start recording, the rest can be adjusted later during video editing. You can also decide afterwards if the recording is gyroscopically stabilized, i.e. if the recording is always in water or if it tilts.
