20th Ireland BikeFest Killarney – 2026

20 Years of Ireland BikeFest – Ireland’s Biggest Biker Festival Celebrates Milestone
Ireland BikeFest Killarney celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026, having grown over two decades into Ireland’s largest free open biker festival. Every year on the June Bank Holiday Weekend, the event attracts thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts from around the world to the picturesque town of Killarney in County Kerry. What started as a local gathering in 2006 is now an internationally acclaimed three-day festival combining motorcycle culture, live music, and Irish hospitality.
Programme and Highlights
The festival spans three days and offers an extensive programme for every taste. In the Bike Village on the grounds of the Gleneagle Hotel, visitors will find a trade village, exhibitions, and numerous entertainment options. Three stages – the outdoor stage, the Gleneagle Arena, and the Harley Bar – host live rock and blues bands throughout the weekend. The highlight for custom enthusiasts is the Custom Bike Show on Sunday in the Gleneagle Arena, where handcrafted builds from across Europe compete for awards.
Ride-Outs and Motorcycle Culture
Killarney provides a spectacular backdrop as a starting point for motorcycle tours. Organised ride-outs take participants along the famous Ring of Kerry and the Wild Atlantic Way – two of Europe’s most stunning coastal roads. On Sunday, the traditional BikeFest Parade winds through the streets of Killarney, with hundreds of motorcycles rolling through town together.
Charity and Community
Ireland BikeFest combines motorcycle passion with social commitment. The 2026 anniversary edition supports Muscular Dystrophy Ireland with a Harley-Davidson raffle. The festival is open to everyone – regardless of brand or whether you arrive by motorcycle.
Admission and Tickets
Ireland BikeFest is one of the few major motorcycle festivals in Europe with free admission. All outdoor areas, the trade village, and the stages in the Bike Village are accessible at no charge. A separate admission fee may apply for the Custom Bike Show in the Gleneagle Arena.
Opening Hours and Getting There
The Bike Village is located on Muckross Road, approximately 1.5 kilometres from Killarney town centre, on the grounds of the Gleneagle Hotel. Killarney is accessible via Kerry Airport (approx. 20 km), Cork Airport (approx. 90 km), or Shannon Airport (approx. 130 km). Killarney train station is located in the town centre.
