Fellows Ride Hannover – 2026

Fellows Ride Hannover 2026 – Riding Together for Mental Health
On June 27, 2026, the Fellows Ride rolls through Hannover. The charity motorcycle demonstration sends a powerful message for depression awareness and mental health – under the motto “With Open Visors.” This year’s edition places special emphasis on depression in the elderly, a widespread but often overlooked condition affecting older adults.
A Symbolic Starting Point
Riders gather from 10:00 AM at Robert-Enke-Platz at the Hannover stadium – a location that stands like no other for open dialogue about depression. Named after German national goalkeeper Robert Enke, the square serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of speaking openly about mental health. The motorcycle convoy departs at 11:00 AM with police escort.
Route and Destination
The ride leads through Hannover and ends at Stift zum Heiligen Geist (Heiligengeiststraße 20, 30173 Hannover). A community street festival follows, organized together with the Schwesternhaus e.V., local neighborhood associations, and a student residence. A dedicated program for families and children is also planned.
Strong Partners and Broad Support
The Fellows Ride Hannover is supported by the Robert Enke Foundation network and the Alliance Against Depression. The MTAS-Nord traffic safety escort and German Red Cross motorcycle units accompany the ride. The Social Association of Germany (SoVD) provides a shuttle bus so that senior citizens and people without motorcycles can participate at the starting point.
What is the Fellows Ride?
The Fellows Ride was founded in 2021 by Dieter Schneider, Peter Grethler, and Karl Miller in Würzburg, Germany. The initiative organizes motorcycle demonstrations in an ever-growing number of cities worldwide to raise awareness about depression and collect donations for regional mental health projects. In 2026, the Fellows Ride takes place at over 30 locations across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Romania, and for the first time in India.
Participation and Donations
Participation in the Fellows Ride is free and open to all motorcyclists – regardless of brand, displacement, or riding experience. All donations go directly to regional projects supporting people with depression.
Donations can be made via bank transfer to the Stiftung Depression-Inklusion (IBAN: DE85 7903 0001 1000 1905 00, reference: Fellows Ride) or via PayPal.
