Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations (MXoN) – 2026

The “Olympics of Motocross” Returns to Ernée
The Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations (MXoN) returns to the legendary circuit of Ernée in France from 2 to 4 October 2026. The most prestigious nations event in motocross – often referred to as the “Olympics of Motocross” – brings together the world’s best riders, who compete not for their teams but for their home countries.
Format and Classes
Each participating country sends a trio of three riders competing in the MXGP, MX2, and Open classes. The results of all three riders are combined, and the nation with the lowest overall score wins. This unique team format has produced dramatic twists and unforgettable moments for decades – a single crash or mechanical failure can shatter an entire nation’s hopes.
Ernée – One of Motocross’ Most Beloved Circuits
The Circuit d’Ernée in the Mayenne department (Pays de la Loire) is one of the most sought-after venues in international motocross. With its natural stadium-like layout, dramatic elevation changes, and an atmosphere that is second to none, Ernée is equally beloved by riders and fans. The last edition of the MXoN at Ernée (2023) is widely regarded as one of the greatest events in motocross history.
France as Host Nation
With the French team as the host nation, the 2026 edition promises an electrifying atmosphere. France is traditionally one of the strongest motocross nations in the world and will give everything to bring the title home in front of their passionate fans. The support of the French motocross faithful makes every event in France a special experience.
Schedule and Programme
The race weekend spans three days:
- Friday, 2 October: Official Team Parade and Opening Ceremony, free practice sessions
- Saturday, 3 October: Qualifying Races in all three classes
- Sunday, 4 October: The three scoring races (MXoN Races) – MXGP + MX2, MXGP + Open, MX2 + Open – followed by the final podium ceremony
The detailed schedule will be published by Infront Moto Racing a few weeks before the event.
