MotoGP – Czech Republic Grand Prix – 2026

MotoGP Returns to Brno: The Grand Prix of Czechia 2026
From June 19 to 21, 2026, the MotoGP World Championship returns to the legendary Automotodrom Brno, the storied Masaryk Circuit nestled in the Moravian countryside near the Czech Republic’s second-largest city. The Grand Prix of Czechia is one of the most popular stops on the calendar, drawing tens of thousands of fans from across Central Europe every year.
The 5.403-kilometer circuit features a demanding layout with 14 corners, significant elevation changes, and a 636-meter main straight. The blend of fast, flowing sections and technically challenging switchbacks through the forested Moravian landscape makes Brno a true rider’s track. The current MotoGP lap record belongs to Marc Márquez, who set a time of 1:53.691 in 2025 aboard a Ducati. The top speed record of 316.7 km/h was established by Andrea Dovizioso in 2016.
Brno as a Travel Destination
The city of Brno is the Czech Republic’s second-largest metropolis, renowned for its vibrant cultural scene, stunning architecture, and outstanding gastronomy. Its proximity to Austria, Slovakia, and Poland makes the Grand Prix an ideal destination for combining a race weekend with a city trip. The Automotodrom is located in Ostrovačice, approximately 15 kilometers west of the city center, and is well accessible by car and public transport.
