Walldürn Airfield Race – Odenwald Klassik 2026

Germany’s Last Airfield Race for Motorcycles
The Walldürn Airfield Race is a unique event in German motorsport: it is the last remaining motorcycle circuit race held on an airfield in the country. What was once a widespread tradition at numerous military and civilian airfields until the late 1980s has long since moved to permanent racing circuits – only the Walldürn sports airfield in Baden-Württemberg keeps this tradition alive, bringing racing directly to spectators.
Under the name ADAC Odenwald Klassik, the Klassik Motorsport e.V. organises a three-day racing weekend from 19 to 21 June 2026, attracting around 250 riders from across Germany and neighbouring European countries. The programme features the classes of the Moto Trophy series – ranging from historic two-strokes and four-strokes to superbikes, supersport machines and sidecars.
The Circuit
The course on the airfield measures just 1,905 metres and combines the runway and taxiway into a challenging stop-and-go layout. The short lap distance produces sub-one-minute lap times and promises numerous overtaking battles that spectators can experience up close from the trackside. The unique character of the airfield circuit demands peak physical fitness from the riders.
