Pirelli Emilia-Romagna Round – Misano 2026

From 12 to 14 June 2026 the Superbike World Championship returns to the Misano World Circuit „Marco Simoncelli“. Round seven of the season brings the grid to Italy, to one of the most traditional venues on the WorldSBK calendar. The 4.226-kilometre track just inland from the Adriatic coast is known as a technical circuit that balances fast direction changes, long acceleration zones and heavy braking points.

The circuit and its character

Misano has been a fixture on the Superbike World Championship calendar since 2007 and, with its 16 corners (10 right-handers, 6 left-handers) and modern infrastructure, has established itself as one of the series’ most important venues. The track was renamed in 2012 after the late Italian racer Marco Simoncelli and today also hosts the MotoGP San Marino round. The fast Curvone, the long pit straight and the tight final run through the Carro corner demand a setup that balances mechanical grip with aerodynamic stability.

The venue as a destination

The circuit sits between the seaside resorts of Rimini, Riccione and Cattolica, putting it within easy reach for German-speaking fans. Air travellers arrive at Federico Fellini Airport in Rimini, about 15 minutes by car; those approaching via Bologna take the A14 motorway. The region is known for its cuisine, its long seaside promenades and its proximity to the Republic of San Marino – a race weekend can easily be combined with a short holiday.

Detailed session times for the 2026 Pirelli Emilia-Romagna Round will be published by Dorna WSBK Organization closer to the event. The weekend follows the classic three-day WorldSBK format: Free Practice on Friday, Superpole and Race 1 on Saturday, Warm-up, Superpole Race and Race 2 on Sunday.
