- Available since January 2026
- Ten percent more wet grip compared to its predecessor
- Significantly increased mileage at the front and rear
Travel enduros have been among the most versatile motorcycle concepts for years. They combine long-distance capability with sporty handling on the road and sufficient reserves on gravel and poor roads. The MICHELIN Anakee Adventure 2 was developed precisely for this range of applications and is now positioned as the top model in the manufacturer’s enduro tire range.

Positioning for large touring enduros
The Anakee Adventure 2 is specifically designed for large, powerful touring enduros. According to Michelin, the tire has been tailored to current models that require both high performance on the road and stability when fully loaded. These include well-known touring enduros from BMW, Honda, Ducati, KTM, Triumph, Yamaha, Suzuki, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, and Kawasaki.
Touring enduros are considered one of the most dynamic segments in the motorcycle market. The demands on tires are correspondingly high, as they must perform reliably on fast highway stretches as well as on winding mountain passes and unpaved roads. The Anakee Adventure 2 is designed to strike precisely this balance.
More wet grip, higher mileage, less noise
A key development goal was to further improve wet performance. High-performance silica rubber compounds are designed to increase wet grip by ten percent compared to the previous Anakee Adventure. This figure is based on internal comparison tests on a BMW R 1250 GS.
According to the manufacturer, the new tire also offers improved mileage. Durability is increased by seven percent at the front and 21 percent at the rear. This is based on internal comparative tests under real-world conditions. This is a crucial factor, especially for riders planning long tours.
In addition, the noise level has been reduced. Michelin says the tire has significantly quieter rolling characteristics, which should increase riding comfort. According to the manufacturer, less rolling noise also means less fatigue on long journeys, which can have a positive effect on concentration.

Designed for roads and unpaved trails
With its 80/20 alignment, the Anakee Adventure 2 is clearly road-oriented, but offers sufficient reserves for gravel and unpaved roads. The M+S marking underlines its claim to provide traction even in changing conditions.
The revised tread design is intended to deliver a balanced mix of driving stability, comfort, and traction. The aim is to enable predictable handling on both asphalt and loose surfaces.
Overview of technologies used
Michelin has incorporated several well-known and advanced technologies into the Anakee Adventure 2:
MICHELIN 2CT
Two different rubber compounds ensure a durable center and more grip on the tire shoulders.
Reinforced Radial X Evo and Aramid Shield
This construction is designed to improve stability, comfort, and durability, especially with heavy loads and on changing surfaces.
New tread design
The tread design has been optimized to achieve a better balance between road performance and traction on soft surfaces.
Premium Touch Design
The sidewalls feature a high-quality finish inspired by the look of classic off-road tires.
Positioning within the Michelin Enduro tire family
The Anakee Adventure 2 complements Michelin’s existing portfolio, which is clearly structured according to area of application:
- MICHELIN Road 6: 100 percent road
- MICHELIN Anakee Road: 90 percent road, 10 percent off-road
- MICHELIN Anakee Adventure 2: 80 percent road, 20 percent off-road
- MICHELIN Anakee Wild: 50 percent road, 50 percent off-road

Growing market for touring enduro tires
The market for touring enduro tires has been growing significantly for years. According to Michelin, global sales figures have doubled in the past six years. In 2024, more touring enduro tires were sold than custom tires for the first time. Against this backdrop, the Anakee Adventure 2 is set to play a central role in the manufacturer’s long-term strategy. The aim is to further expand market share in the touring enduro segment by 2030.
