The organisers have now had to cancel the 54th edition of the motorbike race through the urban canyons of Macao.
The reason is the prevailing quarantine regulations. Riders and teams would have had to comply with a 14-day quarantine period in advance. Since many teams could not afford this, many cancelled their participation in the race in advance. This apparently made it impossible to hold the race due to the low number of participants.
At the moment it is assumed that the races for cars will take place anyway. The event is planned for 20 – 22 November.
