With the introduction of the Meteor 350, Royal Enfield brings back the legendary name of the model from the 1950s. The motorbike was developed in collaboration between engineers from England and India.
Classic equipment
The new Royal Enfield Meteor is equipped with an air-cooled 349cc single-cylinder engine delivering 20.4 PS. The maximum torque is 27 Nm. This power is transmitted via a five-speed gearbox. Conventional is the tubular steel frame and the 41mm telescopic fork. At the rear, stereo shock absorbers provide damping.
Modern technology
The driver can read all important displays via two round instruments. A mix of analogue and LCD displays is used.
The seat height of only 765mm is quite low. The wheel dimensions are 19 inches in front and 17 inches behind. Braking is done at the front with a single 300mm brake disc. The tank holds 20 litres.
LED technology is only partially used for the lighting. Turn indicators, daytime running light and the rear light are equipped with LEDs, but the headlight is fitted with halogen lamps.
A navigation device, Bluetooth connectivity and a USB charging socket are standard equipment on this classically designed motorbike. The versions Fireball, Stellar and Supernova are offered in India. The price of the models should be between 1.60 lakh and 1.90 lakh.
The following colour variants are available: Fireball Yellow, Fireball Red, Stellar Red Metallic, Stellar Black Matte, Stellar Blue Metallic, Supernova Brown and Supernova Blue
It also comes to Europe
In Europe, the model will be available from the first quarter of 2021. However, the information for the European market will not be published until December.
