Suzuki expands its German model range with two special variants of the mid-range sportbike GSX-8R. Both editions carry the suffix “Daidai-Iro,” which is the Japanese word for the color orange. Accordingly, the two models stand out with their Glass Blaze Orange finish, clearly setting them apart from the three standard color options for the 2026 season. Both special models are available immediately through Suzuki dealers in Germany.

Accessories Package with Price Advantage: The Daidai-Iro Edition in Detail
The GSX-8R Daidai-Iro Edition combines the striking special finish with a range of functional accessories. The package includes a pillion seat cover, a premium rider seat, as well as aluminum brake and clutch levers. Additionally, a tank pad and a transparent tank protection film are included. Compared to purchasing all accessories individually, Suzuki states a price advantage of 211.98 euros. The Daidai-Iro Edition is available at dealers for a price of 10,490 euros (MSRP ex-works, plus additional costs).
More Power Ex-Works: The Daidai-Iro Power Edition with Akrapovič Exhaust
The Power variant of the special model goes one step further. In addition to the described accessories package of the Daidai-Iro Edition, an Akrapovič full exhaust system is fitted. The exhaust system, consisting of header and muffler, comes with street-legal approval and is designed to provide the 776 cc twin-cylinder with a noticeable performance boost.
The specific gains from the Akrapovič exhaust system are as follows: Power increases by 1.8 kW (2.4 PS) at 9,500 rpm, while torque gains 1.4 Nm at 5,500 rpm. At the same time, weight drops by 2.2 kg (4.9 lbs). The stationary noise level is 89 dB(A). Compared to ordering all components separately, the price advantage for the Power Edition amounts to 461.98 euros. It is available for 11,790 euros (MSRP ex-works, plus additional costs).
Proven 776 cc Parallel-Twin as Technical Foundation
The fundamental technology remains unchanged in both special models. The well-known GSX-8R platform serves as the basis, powered by a 776 cc DOHC inline twin-cylinder engine. It produces 83 PS (61 kW) and delivers a maximum torque of 78 Nm. Three selectable ride modes and a three-stage traction control system allow riders to adjust throttle response to their riding style and conditions.
In everyday use, the Easy Start System and Low RPM Assist provide additional comfort. The six-speed gearbox comes standard with a bidirectional quickshifter. Clutch operation is particularly light thanks to the Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS), while the integrated slipper function supports sporty downshifting.
For the chassis, Suzuki relies on an adjustable Showa SFF-BP upside-down fork at the front and a link-mounted rear shock. This combination is designed to offer both sporty precision and sufficient comfort for daily use. A vertically arranged LED twin headlight and a modern TFT display round out the standard equipment.
