Fresh look thanks to new colors
For the 2026 season, the Suzuki GSX-8R is available in three new paint finishes: Metallic Triton Blue, Pearl Tech White, and Metallic Mat Black No.2. The sporty fairing is visually inspired by the GSX-R supersport series, emphasizing its dynamic appearance. Vertically arranged dual LED headlights, a slim rear end, and an overall compact appearance characterize the current design.
Powerful inline twin cylinder with modern technology
At the heart of the GSX-8R is still the 776 cm³ DOHC inline twin cylinder with a 270-degree crankpin offset. This engine develops 83 hp (61 kW) at 8,500 rpm and achieves a maximum torque of 78 Nm at 6,800 rpm. The engine thus combines pulling power in the lower rev range with high revving ability in the upper range.
According to the manufacturer, the patented Suzuki Cross-Balancer – a bi-axial balance shaft – ensures smooth engine running and enables a compact design. The 2-in-1 exhaust system is equipped with a two-stage catalytic converter and delivers a characteristic sound.
Support from modern assistance systems
Standard comfort and safety features include the Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS), which reduces the effort required to shift gears, and a precisely graded six-speed transmission. This can be operated either with the clutch or via the standard bi-directional Quick Shift System.
The Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) offers electronic aids such as the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS) with three riding modes, three-stage traction control, and the aforementioned Quick Shifter. The Easy Start System and Low RPM Assist further enhance everyday comfort.
Suspension and chassis for everyday use and sport
The basis is a torsion-resistant steel tube frame. High-quality suspension elements from Showa – including the SFF-BP upside-down fork and a lever-linked central shock absorber – are designed to provide balanced and precise handling. The combination of a stable chassis and sporty suspension aims to enable both everyday usability and riding pleasure at a sporty pace.

The 2026 Suzuki GSX-8R is now available from Suzuki dealers for €9,999 (approx. $10,550) ex-works, plus additional costs.
