The Suzuki V-Strom 800 remains true to its familiar concept in 2026. Since its introduction in 2024, it has positioned itself as a well-balanced adventure tourer for everyday use, travel, and sporty riding. For the new model year, Suzuki is focusing on fine-tuning rather than fundamental changes.

More comfort thanks to redesigned seat
The seat of the V-Strom 800 has been redesigned for 2026. The aim of this measure is to achieve noticeably greater seating comfort, especially on long journeys and during year-round use. Suzuki is responding to feedback from touring use and improving a key point of contact between rider and motorcycle.
Proven technology without experimentation
Technically, the V-Strom 800 remains unchanged and continues to rely on a mature overall package. The large windshield is designed to effectively relieve the upper body, while the lightweight cast aluminum wheels contribute to agile handling. The 19-inch front wheel supports the balance between stability and maneuverability.
At the heart of the bike is a liquid-cooled, 776 cc, inline twin-cylinder engine. It delivers 84 hp (62 kW) and uses a 270-degree crankshaft, which ensures characterful engine running. Thanks to the electronic throttle system, power can be finely controlled in the lower rev range, while the engine remains responsive in the upper range. The distinctive sound is a deliberately chosen by-product of this design.
Vibrations are effectively reduced by the patented Suzuki Cross Balancer, which also enables a compact design of the engine.

Assistance systems for everyday use and touring
The Suzuki Intelligent Ride System offers various riding modes and three-stage traction control. These systems allow the bike to be adapted to different road conditions and uses.
The standard equipment includes a bidirectional quick shifter, which enables both clutchless upshifting and fast downshifting via the blipper function. This is complemented by the Suzuki Clutch Assist System with servo and anti-hopping function, which is designed to provide relief especially on long tours and in city traffic.
The chassis features a neatly tuned SFF BP upside-down fork. In combination with radially mounted four-piston calipers from NISSIN and 310 mm double discs on the front wheel, sufficient safety reserves are available for sporty riding.
Exhaust system and compliance with standards
The 2-in-1 exhaust system is equipped with a two-stage catalytic converter and meets the requirements of the current Euro 5+ standard. The raised rear silencer provides sufficient ground clearance and lean angle freedom and underlines the adventure character of the V-Strom 800.

Attractive price and new colors
A key selling point for the 2026 model year is the reduced price. Instead of the previous €10,800 (approx. $11,660), the recommended retail price is now €10,390 (approx. $11,220). This significantly improves the price-performance ratio.
The V-Strom 800 is available in three colors: Oort Gray No. 3, Metallic Mat Black No. 2, and Candy Daring Red. The model is now available from Suzuki dealers.
With its revised comfort features, unchanged technical basis, and reduced entry-level price, the Suzuki V-Strom 800 continues to position itself as a versatile companion for travel, leisure, and everyday use in 2026.
