In 2026, road racing will undergo a significant change. This decision will bring about a fundamental change in the organization of European road racing and marks a new beginning for the premier class of road racing.

The Isle of Man TT 2026 will see some far-reaching changes. The organizers have announced a comprehensive overhaul of the previous Supertwin class. From next year, it will be known as the “Sportbike TT.” The rule changes will allow modern sport bikes to participate, bringing the class more in line with current developments in national and international championships.

Yamaha Motor’s 70th anniversary in 2025 is not only an occasion to celebrate the brand’s technical milestones, but also the unique stories that have shaped motorcycle racing. At the heart of it all is a racing machine that has become a symbol of passion, perseverance, and family ties.

Michael Dunlop, 36 years old and a living legend of road racing, has now been officially honored for his extraordinary achievements at the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy. The Northern Irishman from Ballymoney was awarded the title of Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by the British royal family – one of the highest civilian honors in the United Kingdom.

Michael Dunlop continues his impressive winning streak at the 2025 Tourist Trophy on the Isle of Man: In the Entire Cover Insurance Supertwin race, the Northern Irishman secured his 33rd TT victory in total – and set a new lap record in the Supertwin class at the same time.  With an average speed of 123.056 mph (197.995 km/h) on the final lap, he wrote another chapter in his personal TT history.

Dean Harrison has secured his fifth TT victory at this year’s Tourist Trophy 2025 on the Isle of Man.  In the second round of the Superstock class, held under the title Opul Superstock TT, the Honda works rider dominated the race and relegated Davey Todd (Monster Energy by 8TEN Racing BMW Motorrad) to second place with a lead of 16.03 seconds.  Michael Dunlop (MD Racing BMW) completed the podium, achieving his 50th podium at the TT – another milestone in his impressive career.
