Rumors have long been talking about a new R7 based on the MT-07. A return of the radical sports bike, which was built from 1999 to 2002 only 500 times, so you can not expect.
Yamaha has now published two teasers on social media and announced a presentation for May 18, 2021. That this will be the R7 is an open secret.

Similarities and changes
Even if the MT-07 is the basis, you can already see purely visually the “more” in sportiness, the R genes are clearly visible. Instead of a classic telescopic fork, as in the MT-07, an upside-down fork is fitted. Adjustment options will certainly be available here as well.
