MV Agusta Brutale 2026: New generation celebrates premiere at EICMA

MV Agusta presents a comprehensively redesigned Brutale to mark its 25th anniversary – with a new engine, completely new chassis, and a focus on reliability.

Anniversary with a new edition: The Brutale enters its next quarter-century

MV Agusta will unveil the latest generation of the Brutale at EICMA 2025 in Milan. The presentation coincides with the 25th anniversary of the model, which first caused a stir in 2001 as a radical interpretation of a naked bike. For 2026, the Italian manufacturer promises a completely redesigned machine that will further develop the characteristic concept while remaining true to its own brand essence.

Revised three-cylinder engine with more power

At the heart of the new Brutale is a fundamentally redesigned three-cylinder engine, which will be launched as an “Evo” variant. MV Agusta talks about increased peak power and higher torque, as well as more direct throttle response. At the same time, reliability is said to have been noticeably improved through modern manufacturing methods and a revised design approach. Although specific figures on engine performance have not yet been released, it is known that an inline three-cylinder engine will continue to be used, as in the current 798 cc models. It stands to reason that the new engine is based on the 931 cc unit in the Enduro Veloce, which delivers 122 hp (89.7 kW) at 75 lb.ft (equivalent to approx. 101.7 Nm).

New chassis: greater stability, higher agility

Another key element of the model update is the completely new chassis. The frame, swing arm, geometry, and ergonomics have been fundamentally redesigned. According to the manufacturer, the goal is to achieve greater stability on the road, higher agility on the racetrack, and greater riding comfort in everyday use. Revised suspension elements and a new braking system are also set to establish a new benchmark in safety and performance.

Modern technology and a five-year warranty

Standard equipment now includes a new Human Machine Interface (HMI) and the updated MV Ride app. This allows numerous settings to be adjusted directly on the motorcycle or conveniently via smartphone. According to MV Agusta, another focus is on everyday usability and long-term durability. To this end, the new Brutale will come with a standard five-year warranty.

Exclusivity and Italian design

MV Agusta emphasizes that the new Brutale retains the exclusivity typical of the brand. Visually, the machine remains clearly recognizable as a Brutale, but has been given significantly sharper lines, more compact proportions, and a look that, according to the manufacturer, combines “elegance with aggressiveness.”

Quote from the CEO

Luca Martin, CEO of MV Agusta, explains: “In 2001, the Brutale rewrote the rules of the naked category and immediately became an icon. Today, 25 years later, we are celebrating this revolution with a new generation that does not simply reinvent itself, but evolves. The new Brutale is more powerful, more refined, and more exciting—yet remains true to its soul: a motorcycle designed by riders for riders. An icon made in Italy, ready to inspire motorcyclists around the world for the next 25 years.”

Market launch and outlook

The new MV Agusta Brutale will be presented to the public for the first time at EICMA 2025. The market launch is planned for 2026. Prices, final technical data, and images are expected at the trade fair.
