- Aleix Espargaró’s personal Aprilia RS-GP 20
- Auction in February 2026 in the UK
- Estimated price approx. €350,000 to €470,000 (around $380,000 to $510,000)
The Aprilia RS-GP 20, which is now being auctioned in the UK, is no ordinary collector’s item. It is the original MotoGP racing motorcycle that Aleix Espargaró received directly from Aprilia after the 2020 season. Even though the bike was only used in racing for one season, it marks an important technical and sporting turning point for the manufacturer from Noale.

Key role in Aprilia’s MotoGP rise
Aleix Espargaró shaped Aprilia’s modern MotoGP project like no other rider. From 2017 until his retirement from full-time racing at the end of 2024, the Spaniard played a key role in the development of the RS-GP. During this time, he achieved three Grand Prix victories and five pole positions. He achieved his best World Championship ranking in 2022, finishing fourth in the overall standings.
The RS-GP 20 offered here is from the 2020 season, which Espargaró finished in 17th place in the World Championship. His best race result that year was eighth place. Despite the modest results, the motorcycle is considered an important development step on which later successes were built. Marco Bezzecchi even managed to secure third place overall in the 2025 World Championship for Aprilia.
Technical breakthrough with the RS-GP 20
With the RS-GP 20, Aprilia made a significant technical restart. At the heart of it was a newly developed 90-degree V4 engine, accompanied by comprehensively revised aerodynamics, a new chassis, and other detailed changes. Even though the motorcycle was only in use for one year, it is considered the cornerstone of the rapid development of the MotoGP program.

Original condition with rare details
According to the auction house, the model on offer is said to be completely in its original condition, just as it was when it last left the track. Its features include an Akrapovič exhaust system, specially tuned Öhlins suspension components, carbon brake discs at the front, and complete carbon fairing. What is particularly unusual is that the original Marelli electronics are still installed, as these are usually removed from MotoGP machines before they are sold.
The scope of delivery also includes the original Aprilia documents and the complete rider’s equipment, consisting of a leather suit, boots, gloves, and helmet, which Espargaró wore on this very motorcycle.
Auction at Iconic Auctioneers in Warwickshire
The Aprilia RS-GP 20 will be auctioned by Iconic Auctioneers as part of “The Iconic Sale at Race Retro 2026.” The auction will take place from February 20 to 22, 2026, at Stoneleigh Park.
Mark Bryan, Motorcycle Manager at Iconic Auctioneers, explained that Espargaró himself made direct contact. This is the first time he has sold a MotoGP motorcycle directly for the rider who used it in racing. MotoGP bikes do not normally appear on the open market and are therefore difficult to obtain.

Expected sale price and classification
The estimated price for the Aprilia RS-GP 20 is between £300,000 and £400,000. This corresponds to approximately €350,000 to €470,000 and around US$380,000 to US$510,000. Iconic Auctioneers has successfully auctioned several significant MotoGP motorcycles in the past, including machines ridden by Loris Capirossi, Casey Stoner, and Andrea Dovizioso.
The Aprilia now on offer stands out from previous auctions primarily due to its verifiable history, original technical condition, and direct connection to Aleix Espargaró.
