Conversion project with social impact
The “Löwenherz” was built by young offenders as part of a social project run by Seehaus e. V. Under the voluntary guidance of Matze Stockmann, a completely redesigned one-off model based on the Royal Enfield Guerilla 450 was created in the Glemseck Moto workshop. Royal Enfield donated the motorcycle. Numerous companies from the motorcycle scene supported the conversion with high-quality accessories.
The equipment includes, among other things:
- Hepco&Becker: engine guard, tubular luggage rack, LED auxiliary headlights, lamp guard
- SW Motech: rear bag and engine guard
- Kellermann: Turn signals, license plate holder, license plate light
- Remus: Sports exhaust
- Probrake: Brake and clutch levers
- Autoteile Geiger: Continental tires
The “Löwenherz” is not just a show bike, it will also compete in the 1/8-mile race. It will be ridden by Böblingen District Administrator Roland Bernhard, who will compete against motorcycle influencer Leona (@smellofgasoline) during the event.
Raffle with added value: motorcycles, mini bikes, and technical models
In addition to the custom Royal Enfield, other attractive prizes await the winners of the raffle. For children and young motorsport fans, these include:
- An electric mini bike from Indian Motorcycles
- A WSBK-inspired wooden balance bike from Kawasaki
- The LEGO Technic model of the Kawasaki Ninja H2R
The raffle is complemented by numerous other prizes from the motorcycle scene, donated by various companies. Tickets are available until September 7 at 12 noon via the Seehaus e. V. website (https://seehaus-ev.de/motorradverlosung-glemseck101) and can also be purchased directly on site at Glemseck. The draw will take place on the same day at 2 p.m.
Aim of the project: creating prospects
Seehaus Leonberg is an alternative model to traditional juvenile detention. The young participants live there in a family-like structure with a fixed daily routine from 5:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. Their daily life consists of school, training, sports, manual labor, victim empathy training, and discussions with victims of crime. The aim is to hold the young people accountable and open up new perspectives for them.
The conversion of the “Löwenherz” was part of this concept. In the future, Seehaus even plans to set up its own motorcycle workshop. An experienced motorcycle mechanic is currently being sought to provide technical support to the young people in restoration and customization projects.
Net proceeds go to victim support
The proceeds from the raffle will go to the victim and trauma counseling centers of Seehaus e. V. There, people who have been affected by crime, accidents, or other traumatic events receive support. The counselors assist those affected, who often have no one else to turn to in order to process what they have experienced.
Background: Seehaus e. V. and restorative justice
The non-profit association Seehaus e. V. is active in various areas of youth and offender support. In addition to its location in Leonberg, the association also operates a facility for non-custodial sentencing in Leipzig. The concept follows the principles of “restorative justice,” an approach that focuses on reparation, victim orientation, and the assumption of responsibility by the perpetrators.
