Due to a faulty engine control software, Yamaha has to call the MT-09, MT-09 SP and Tracer 9 GT of the model years 2021 and 2022 to the workshops.
Due to a software problem, it would be possible that the engine goes out while riding, which could lead to dangerous situations. The fault is triggered when downshifting, if the clutch has not been pulled completely, the throttle grip is still slightly open or the engine speed is still too high.
New software will be installed in the workshop to correct the error.
The recall originates from the American region. Since motorcycles are usually produced in a plant for the global market, other regions could also be affected.
