Even though Suzuki recently introduced the obligatory Euro5 update of the SV650, work on the new model is already going on in the background.
Patent drawings of the engine have already been presented here. Other elements, such as the chassis, have not been discussed so far, however, and are provided with simply sketched placeholders. In the new patent drawings you will find more details about the frame and swingarm.
The frame seems to be a combination between tubular construction and cast parts. It uses the engine as a supporting component.
The swing arm is now drawn in much more detail. The two sides were designed differently. The shock absorber should not be mounted directly on the swingarm, because the lower mount is already below the swingarm.
