- 105 hp (77.2 kW) 1200cc Bonneville Twin with 112 Nm of torque
To mark the 15th anniversary of the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, Triumph has created a very special motorcycle. The Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer DGR Edition is a one-off that will be given away as the grand prize of the so-called Gentlefolk Sweepstakes. The basis of the unique bike is the Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Limited Edition, which was only unveiled at the end of January and is itself already limited to 800 units worldwide. The DGR Edition, however, goes a significant step further, setting itself apart from the already rare production version through exclusive materials and special details.

Harris Tweed Meets Cafe Racer
The most striking feature of the DGR Edition is the seat. Triumph had the Bullet Seat upholstered with genuine Harris Tweed, a hand-woven fabric made from pure virgin wool that is produced exclusively on the Outer Hebrides in Scotland. The material is regarded as a symbol of craftsmanship and tradition, fitting perfectly with the dress code of the DGR, where riders roll through their cities on classic motorcycles dressed in elegant attire.
A spokesperson for the official Harris Tweed Authority commented: “It is exciting to see Harris Tweed used in this way for the creation of the Gentlefolk Prize Motorcycle. Just as The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride and Triumph have taken their unique style and quality around the world, our Harris Tweed is handwoven in the Outer Hebrides and recognised and valued around the world; a global symbol of craftsmanship, tradition, and enduring quality. We are proud to contribute to a motorcycle created to help raise money, celebrating global unity and the collective impact of riders everywhere.”
In addition to the Tweed seat, the motorcycle features a special anniversary graphic commemorating the 15th birthday of the DGR as well as a numbered plate with the number 15 painted in gold beneath the seat. A certificate of authenticity is also included in the package.
British Racing Heritage as Color Inspiration
Visually, the DGR Edition features a combination of Competition Green and Aluminium Silver. The wheels are finished in Aluminium Silver, while the headlight is painted in matching Competition Green. Clip-on handlebars provide a low, sporty riding position, while the slim single seat emphasizes the profile. Machined bar-end mirrors, ribbed emblems on the clutch and alternator covers, black cylinder head bolt covers, and sculpted knee pads on the tank round off the look.

Premium Technology from the Speed Twin 1200 RS
Technically, Triumph has not changed the DGR Edition compared to the Cafe Racer Limited Edition. The liquid-cooled 1200cc Bonneville parallel twin with a compression ratio of 12.1:1 produces 105 hp (77.2 kW) at 7,750 rpm. Maximum torque is 112 Nm at 4,250 rpm. The characteristic 270-degree firing interval, combined with a low-inertia crankshaft, ensures immediate throttle response. The rev limiter is set at 8,000 rpm. A six-speed gearbox with Triumph Shift Assist handles the shifting, with power delivered to the rear wheel via an X-ring chain.
For the chassis, Triumph draws from its top-of-the-range Speed Twin 1200 RS. At the front, a fully adjustable 43mm Marzocchi USD fork provides 120mm of travel, while at the rear, Öhlins shocks with external reservoirs offer 123mm of travel. The braking system consists of two floating 320mm discs with Brembo Stylema M4.30 radial calipers and a Brembo MCS lever at the front. A single 220mm disc with a Nissin two-piston caliper handles braking at the rear. Cornering-optimized ABS (OCABS) comes as standard. The Metzeler Racetec RR K3 tires in dimensions 120/70 R17 at the front and 160/60 R17 at the rear are also part of the standard equipment.
Triumph quotes the wet weight at 217 kg (478.4 lbs). The tank holds 14.5 liters, and the seat height is 810mm. The machine meets Euro 5+ standards and, according to Triumph, consumes 4.4 liters per 100 km.

How the Gentlefolk Sweepstakes Works
The Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer DGR Edition is not for sale but will be awarded through a random draw as part of the Gentlefolk Sweepstakes. This is a new approach compared to previous years, as Paul Stroud, Chief Commercial Officer at Triumph, emphasized. Every participant who meets the requirements has an equal chance of winning, not just those with the highest donation totals.
To enter the sweepstakes, riders must register on gentlemansride.com and complete four tasks before the end of the campaign: complete their rider profile, make a personal donation, donate to a random other participant to earn the “Pay It Forward” badge, and raise a total of at least 250 US dollars (approximately 230 euros / 250 USD) in donations. Once all four badges are unlocked, the rider is automatically entered into the draw.
In addition, Triumph is providing three more motorcycles from the Modern Classics range as prizes for the three participants who raise the most donations worldwide.
15 Years of the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride
The DGR will take place in 2026 on Sunday, May 17, celebrating its 15th anniversary. The event raises money and awareness for men’s mental health and prostate cancer research. Donations go to the Movember Foundation.
The numbers from last year illustrate the scale of the event: in 2025, 127,000 riders took part in 1,038 rides across 108 countries, raising 7.6 million US dollars (approximately 7 million euros / 7.6 million USD) for Movember. Over the full 15 years, the DGR has raised a total of 60.37 million US dollars (approximately 55.5 million euros / 60.37 million USD).
Mark Hawwa, founder and director of the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, said: “2026 marks a significant milestone for The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride as we celebrate our 15th annual ride. That’s 15 years of bringing together a global community united by style, purpose, and a shared commitment to men’s health. What began as a small ride has grown into a worldwide movement, with hundreds of thousands of riders coming together to raise vital funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health.”

Team Triumph and Three New Ambassadors
Triumph has been the official motorcycle partner of the DGR since 2014. After registering on gentlemansride.com, participants can join Team Triumph, which unites fans of the brand and lovers of the Modern Classics worldwide. Team members gain access to an exclusive Triumph raffle and directly support the Movember Foundation’s programs.
For 2026, Triumph has named three international ambassadors: João Terra from Brazil, the French duo French Fuse, and Grace Webb from the United Kingdom. Terra spoke about hosting a local DGR for the first time in 2025 and wanting to make the 2026 event even better. French Fuse described the combination of a beautiful motorcycle, an elegant suit, and a good cause as unbeatable. Grace Webb emphasized that the DGR is about more than just riding — it’s about coming together to make a difference for men’s health.
Paul Stroud summarized the significance of the partnership, noting that this is the 13th year as the official motorcycle partner of the DGR. Last year’s event raised 7.6 million US dollars for Movember, bringing the 15-year total to 60.37 million US dollars.
