MotoGP – Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia – 2026

MotoGP Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia 2026 – Round 17 at Mandalika
The Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia brings the MotoGP World Championship to the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit on the Indonesian island of Lombok from October 9 to 11, 2026. Round 17 of the 2026 season takes place at one of the newest and most spectacular circuits on the MotoGP calendar – right on the shores of the Indian Ocean in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone.
Circuit and Statistics
The Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit was inaugurated in 2021 and measures 4.310 kilometres in length. The track features 17 corners – 11 right-handers and 6 left-handers – and is ridden clockwise. The 723-metre main straight allows top speeds exceeding 310 km/h. The layout combines fast sections along the coastline with technically demanding corner sequences further inland. The tropical conditions with high humidity and the ever-present possibility of rain showers make the race a particular challenge for riders and machinery alike. Indonesia, home to more than 270 million people, is one of the world’s most important motorcycle markets, and the passionate atmosphere in the grandstands reflects the nation’s deep love for two-wheeled motorsport.
Lombok and Mandalika as a Travel Destination
The circuit is located in the Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus (Special Economic Zone) Mandalika in the south of Lombok, just a short walk from some of Indonesia’s most beautiful beaches. Kuta Lombok – not to be confused with Kuta in Bali – offers turquoise waters, white sandy beaches and a relaxed atmosphere. The island is accessible via Lombok International Airport (LOP), approximately 30 minutes by car from the circuit. Alternatively, visitors can travel from Bali (Ngurah Rai International Airport, DPS) by fast ferry or short domestic flight. Beyond motorsport, the island attracts visitors with Mount Rinjani (3,726 m), the three Gili Islands with their coral reefs, and the traditional Sasak culture.
