The video is very short and provides neither detailed information nor visual insights into the concept.
Trademark protection application for “V3R” has appeared in the UK
In addition to the acoustic preview, there is another indication of a possible production version: Honda has registered the trademark “V3R” in the UK. No images are included in the application, but the name matches Honda’s previous naming convention for motorcycles.
The trademark registration is under the classification for “vehicles”, which includes cars, tricycles and motorcycles. This suggests that it could be a two-wheeled vehicle. However, it cannot be ruled out that it is an engine that could also be used in other vehicle categories such as quads or UTVs.
It is also interesting to note that Honda has only registered a few new brand names in recent years. In addition to “V3R”, which was registered on February 18, 2025, there is “e:Ny6”, for example, which was registered in March 2022. The name is reminiscent of the Honda e electric vehicles, which shows that Honda is using its naming strategically.
What future does the V3 concept have?
Whether the name “V3R” actually refers to a future motorcycle or an engine technology for different vehicle types remains to be seen. Honda has not yet provided any more precise details. The V3 project therefore remains exciting, and it remains to be seen when Honda will reveal more details.
