The model year 2020 KTM 790 Adventure R Rally is limited to 500 pieces and designed as a long-distance rally bike. The crossing of entire continents should thus be easily possible. This is to be made possible by the hardcore performance and the best suspension on the market.
KTM 790 Adventure R Rally
The basis is the KTM 790 Adventure R. Frame and engine are identical. The biggest difference lies in the chassis. In the rally, the WP XPLOR Pro suspension is used, they offer 30 mm more travel. The seat height is raised to 910 mm.
The fork uses Cone-Valve technology, a special valve system. Whereby the suspension should combine a practically endless damping performance with comfort and protection against penetration. Settings that can normally only be made by exchanging the spacer disks are thus also possible from the outside.
The strut was developed on the basis of experience from the rally racing. Thanks to friction-optimized components, the damping performance of the strut should have been significantly increased. It has a progressive damping system (PDS) and can be adjusted.
As standard, the lightweight Akrapovic rear silencer, a carbon tank guard and the Quickshifter +. Due to the color scheme, graphics and the transparent windshield with winglets, the rally differs from its sibling models at first glance.
In order to be better suited for off-road use, the rims were narrower and tire tubes are used. A race seat was built which is higher and should offer better racing ergonomics. Rally footpegs are designed to provide more grip and comfort during day-long rides.
