Jawa has introduced the Model 42, which will join its sister model, the Forty Two. The two models are almost identical, as is the name, which differs only in writing.
The 42 is also powered by the liquid-cooled 293cc single-cylinder. It has been retuned to bring it into line with India’s new BS6 emissions regulations. As a result, power actually increases somewhat, albeit only slightly. The engine now produces 27.3 PS and 27 Nm.
On the 42, the rims, frame, fork, radiator, engine, exhaust system and suspension struts have been painted black. Cast wheels are now fitted instead of wire wheels, and accordingly the tires are now tubeless.
On the side covers you can find the corresponding number for the 42. Three colors are available: black, white and red.
