- Certified to EN 17092 protection class AA
- Single-layer technology with T-Stretch and Twaron fiber
- Removable hip and knee protectors, manufactured entirely in Italy
Anyone searching for suitable motorcycle clothing just before the start of the season faces an almost overwhelming selection. PMJ, a family-run manufacturer from Sant’Angelo in Vado in Italy’s cotton region, aims to score with two jeans models designed to work both on the motorcycle and in everyday life. The Cruise targets men, while the Ginevra is designed for women.

Protection Class AA According to EN 17092: What It Means
Motorcycle clothing in Europe must be tested and certified according to the EN 17092 standard. This standard defines five protection levels, of which AA is the second highest. Both the Cruise and the Ginevra feature an internally attached CE label confirming this classification. Class AA stands for good abrasion and tear resistance while maintaining acceptable wearing comfort in terms of weight and freedom of movement. According to the manufacturer, this makes both pants suitable for daily use as well as for shorter and longer tours.
T-Stretch with Twaron: The Technology Behind the Protection
Both models are manufactured using so-called single-layer technology. This means that no separate inner lining provides protection; instead, the denim fabric itself takes on the protective function. PMJ relies on T-Stretch, a material in which denim is interwoven with Twaron. Twaron is a high-performance fiber that is also used in ballistic products. It is said to offer high abrasion and tear resistance, maximum heat resistance and flame retardancy, with no melting point. At the same time, the combination with denim provides a degree of elasticity intended to enhance wearing comfort.
In addition to passive safety, both pants feature removable hip protectors and knee protectors. The latter are height-adjustable and can even be removed from the outside, which should make everyday handling easier.

Fit and Everyday Wearability
Both the Cruise and the Ginevra feature a close-fitting, slim cut without being as tight as skinny jeans. The knee areas are anatomically shaped. According to PMJ, both models are designed to look good not only on the motorcycle but also off it, serving as a regular part of everyday wardrobes.
Manufacturing is carried out 100 percent in Italy, according to the manufacturer. PMJ emphasizes the use of high-quality materials, artisanal precision and an environmentally conscious production process. As a family-run company from a region with a long textile tradition, the brand aims to combine traditional textile craftsmanship with current fashion trends.
Colors, Availability and Price
The Cruise is available in 2026 in two color variants: Blue and the new dark version Dark. The Ginevra is also offered in Blue and Dark versions. Both models are priced at 209 euros each (approximately 219 USD) recommended retail price. Further information and ordering options are available directly through the PMJ online shop.
