KTM North America is recalling certain 2019 and 2020 790 Adventure, 790 Adventure R and 790 Adventure R Rally models. It’s possible there could be issues with the front brake.
It would be possible that the brake master cylinder return spring on the front brake is not strong enough to return the brake piston to its original position. This could cause the brake to malfunction and unexpectedly increase stopping distance.
The affected motorcycles were manufactured between February 14, 2019 and February 28, 2020.
The workshop will replace the spring with a larger and stronger one. The swap is expected to take about 35 minutes.
The recall originates in the Americas, but since motorcycles are usually manufactured in a factory for the global market, other markets could also be affected.
