KTM North America calls the Husqvarna 701 Vitpilen and Svartpilen back, because of a possible fuel leak.
The Vitpilen from 2018 to 2020 and the Svartpilen from 2019 to 2020 are affected. Gasoline could leak in the area of the fuel level sensor and the fuel pump. In the worst case, there could be a fire hazard.
A solution to the problem is currently being worked on, which is why (according to media reports) American retailers have been asked to temporarily stop selling the models.
If a smell of petrol is found on the motorcycle, owners should leave the motorcycle and contact their dealer.
It is not yet clear whether European models are affected. However, since motorcycles are usually manufactured in a single factory and then sold worldwide, this would be possible.
