Triumph was one of the first motorcycle manufacturers to announce a collaboration with an Asian partner (2017). In most cases, a partnership is used to produce smaller-displacement motorcycles only for the fast-growing Asian market.
Smaller triumphs for the worldwide market
The cooperation with Bajaj has brought nothing on the market so far, however, Bajaj CEO Rajiv Bajaj has commented on the planned future in an interview.
Triumph and Bajaj want to develop several models with 400 to 800cc and bring them to the market worldwide.
He said Bajaj already exports 40% of manufactured vehicles. Therefore, the strategy fits very well, even the motorcycles that are created in cooperation with Triumph to bring to the world market.
